Gibsons Public Art Gallery promotes artists and encourages public interest in art through workshops, presentations and by presenting a minimum of six juried exhibitions each year.

Artists who make submissions are advised of the Gallery’s decisions as soon as possible after the submissions deadline and/or Curatorial Team and Board consultations.

A Curatorial Team is chosen annually and charged with the responsibility of recommending exhibitions by participating in a process of individual and group considerations of artists' submissions in consultation with the Board of Directors.

The Curatorial Team is composed of six members appointed by the Board, equally representing the interests of the gallery, the arts community, and the wider community: two members of the Board of Directors, two representatives of the community at large, and two member artists reflecting a broad cross-section of the visual arts community in its multifaceted variety of training and practice.
